Fall Flyover IV

Fall is coming and so is the fourth annual Fall Flyover touring disc golf league. Play at local courses on Sunday afternoon beginning September 13; tee time is at 2:00pm and get there early to register. All skill levels are welcome. Of your $10, $1 is for your local club. $1 is for an ace or closest-to-pin given away that week. 50¢ is a tour fee and the other 50¢ is a PDGA fee. PDGA membership is not required and there is no extra cost for non-members.

The statewide league is divided into four regions. The central region, hosted by Darren Holzinger, is in the Tri-City area of Kearney, Grand Island and Hastings. The south region, hosted by Steven Schneider (Birdie 30), is around Lincoln. to the east is Mr. Bill in the Omaha metro area. And to the north is Zach Nickolite in the Hwy 81 corridor of Columbus, Norfolk, and Yankton. You can play at any location at anytime, mix and match whatever suits your schedule.

You can choose to compete with others from all  four regions in the challonge bracket. There are no fees for joining the bracket, just register for either pool.

At the conclusion of the Fall Flyover is the Hall of Fame triples team event on October 31. Stay tuned for details as things are still being set for that tournament.

ar_logo_mdSeptember 12, Lincoln – The Discraft Ace Race is at Tierra Park on 2800 Tierra Drive. For $25 each participant receives two identical Discraft discs, a t-shirt and other goodies. There are two temporary tees per hole and the idea is to get a hole in one (ace), or hit metal. You get two tries from each of the temporary tees and the most aces, or metal shots, wins a grand prize of a big stack of discs. Play begins at 10:00am on Saturday, September 12. September 12, Omaha – Seymour Smith Park is the location for the Trilogy Challenge. For $30 you receive a disc from Westside Discs, Dynamic Discs, and Latitude 64 plus some other goodies. September 19, Omaha – Busy on September 12? You’re in luck because there is also a Discraft Ace Race at Seymour Smith Park on September 19.
