Pat is a mover and shaker for disc golf enthusiasts in Nebraska, particularly in his home town of Lincoln. Some of the notable contributions include:
- Fund raising and installation of the Interstate Disc Golf Course at Roper Park in Lincoln, in 1990
- Past president of the Lincoln Flying Disc Club
- Star City Shoot-out tournament director and co-director
- Tree nursery project at Roper
- Water fountain project at Roper
- Disc sales in Lincoln
